S. Jaswinder Singh S/O late Dr. Gurnam Singh belongs to village Chak vendal, Teh. Nakodar, Distt. Jalandhar. Mrs. Sawaran Kaur gave him birth on 2 Feb 1955 in village Chak vendal. In his early age he was very shy. People used to call him 'mast' because he did hos every work with full concentration without paying any attention to his surroundings. He was very intelligent in studies. In his family he has four brothers and one sister and due to low income of his father the financial condition of his family was not very good and as a result he was unable to continue his studies after his tenth class, but he had a keen interest in studies therefore he wanted to continue his studies. When he had completed his tenth his father sent him to delhi for job.

From (1972-1979) he started doing job of whole sale by supplying medicines to chemist along with this he further continued his studies. During these years his interest developed towards spirituality and God. Daily he used to do 'SEWA’ day and night at Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib Delhi and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib Delhi.  There he become 'GURSIKH'. At that time he was of 17 years. He was involved in spirituality so much that he lost his interest in his job and money. During this time all his brothers went to foreign countries. He decided to go back to his village and to encourage more young person towards spirituality (GURMAT) and to work for the development of his village. He went to his village and made 'NOJWAN SUDHAR SABHA' and become its president.

In his village the Path was not done in Gurudwaras daily during early morning. He started doing this path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, daily in his village Gurudwara. Earlier no tournament was organized in his village and no Gurupurb was celebrated. But he started this with his 'NAUJWAN SUDHAR SABHA'. He made small bridge over water channel (chitti vayen) in his village and made other infrastructures in his village. He also leveled the village roads and cleaned the streets of his village with his sabha. His mother and father supported congress therefore he along with his sabha became the workers of the congress. Congress didn't supported them in development of his village and therefore they joined the Sikh student federation and afterwards akali dal's youth wing.

The village people were happy with the development of the village and elected them in their gram panchayat of their village. During this, people elected them as sarpanch of their village, at that time he was of 23 years of age. Being a all young panchayat members  they did the development of their village with their own hands. Before them the annual income of panchayat was just 16 thousands, but they made free all illegal claims and raised its income in their first year only upto 1 lakh 60 thousand apprx. Before them only 1/4th of streets of their village were properly made but they carried this development to whole village. They metalled the whole road around the village. They made 'Panchayat Ghar', 'Janj Ghar' and Corridor for sitting in the village. They also leveled all the roads of the village, which were earlier 5 to 10 feet deep. They also bought telephone lines and 24 hours electricity supply to the village. They also organized college camps and other events like races of OX (i.e. races of wells) in the village. Due to all their development, being young Panchayat and work done by themselves without any help of labour, their panchayat was elected best panchayat of the district by the State Government.

He remained Sarpanch of his village for ten years. During this time operation BLUE STAR at Amritsar and riots of 1984 occurred in Delhi. He become very sad  due to this incidence.  For maintaining SIKH Honour  , and to stop religion hatred. He organized 'All Indian Jago Yatra' which aimed at "Ek Pita Ekas Ke Ham Barik" and "Awal Allah Noor Upaya Kudrat Ke Sab Bande" , which means we all are children of one God. So why do we hate each other. He also want the people of India that "Na Samjoge To Mit Jaoge, Ae Hindostan Walo , Tumhari Dastan tak na hogi Dastano mein" By Urdu Shayar Iqbal. He complete this "ALL INDIA JAGO YATRA" in 50 days. In which he went to all the states. After some time he worked at many ranks of Sharomani Akali Dal. He become Block Secretariat, Sr. Vice President of Block Nakodar. In District, he became member of working committee and General Secretariat to Senior Vice President. He also became vice chairman of  'Nakodar Market Committee' During this time he updated his village school upto 12th and brought Wheat and Rice 'mandi' in village. He metalled the roads and completed the remaining bridge and water tank.

He is very fond of Poetry and is very good Poet. He wrote many books like 'Khalis Rooh Khera', 'Ramzan Ravidas Diyan', ‘Jowan Kishtee’.  Being a spiritual person from his age of 17 he wakes at 5 am in the morning and recite 'FIVE BANIES' without the help of GUTKA SAHIB. He never touched any drug in his whole life. Every year he also organizes 'PRABHAT PHERIES' during Gurupurab from last 35 years. Being very kind person every year he donates 'Blankets' , Money to Poor People during Gurupurab. He also donates shoes etc. and prizes to poor students of schools and thus give them encouragement to study more. His family also contributes in the development of village.
